The Crypetex was featured in the Book and Movie The Da Vinci Code inspired by Dan Brown. Denoting a portable valt used to hide secret messages. To open the Cryptex put in a five letter password to open it. 12,000,000 possibilities. This portable valt is a great invention. What you do is wright a message on thin Papyrus scroll and roll it into your cryptex. The scroll will then be wrapped around a fragile vial of vinegar as a security measure: if one does not know the password but tries to pry the cryptex open by force, the vial will break and the vinegar will dissolve the papyrus before it can be read. The Papyrus scroll from the book and movie says ''The Holy Grail neath ancient Rostin waits. The Blade and Chalice guarding o'er Her gates. Adorned in masters loving art, She lies. She rests at last beneath the starry skies.'' You can buy your own Cryptex just like the picture from the The Noble Collection http://www.noblecollection.com/ it will cost $195.00. Scroll and vineger vail not inclueded. If you go to http://www.youtube.com/ and type in The Da Vinci Code Cryptex Noble Collection. Watch the video which inspired this blog.
